My name is Reed Austen Saltz (but I go by Austen). I’m a senior at the Beacon High School in New York City and a filmmaker, blogger, and web designer. For the past two years, I have been a tech assistant for Beacon’s film department and the webmaster and video producer for TalkingScience.org. In the Spring of 2009, I was one of twenty Film Fellows at the Tribeca Film Institute.
I am passionate about film and all other forms of media. I’ve been making movies since I received a still camera with video capabilities when I was 10 years old. I also enjoy photography as it is the visual base of film and video. I have also become proficient in web and blog design from working on my personal blog, netsua.com, which I started in 2004.
