This was my final project for Cinema Production 1. It was shot on 16mm color film with a Bolex camera. The basic premise is that a student gets trapped within an impossibly-long dorm hallway, and tries to escape.

This is my second assignment for Cinema Production 1. The assignment was to make an audio-driven film, where the audio determined/inspired the video as opposed to the other way around. My movie ended up being something like “the history of human advancement in two minutes.” It uses clips from feature films and some of my own footage to portray this vision. The sounds were all recorded and manipulated by me (except for the explosion towards the end), and were laid out before any video was added.
This is my first assignment for Cinema Production 1. It’s a group project shot with a Bolex camera on black & white 16mm film. All of the sound effects were recorded and added after shooting. The music is “Doppelganger Up On Reality” from the Fringe Season 2 Soundtrack.
Here’s a little something I’ve been working on intermittently since the summer started. It combines the airplane/airport scenes from Lost and Inception. I’m working on a mashing up a couple more scenes too, but they’re not done yet.
For the final assignment I decided to explore angles and shapes in the architecture of Ithaca College. I tried to to utilize symmetry and repeating patterns as much as possible. I also wanted for every picture to have significant areas of complete darkness and brightness in it.
The assignment was to document an event in Ithaca in a journalistic fashion. I chose to photograph Ithaca College’s “Dancing with the Stars” competition which pitted student-professor teams against each other in ballroom dancing.
I’ve realized that the deep blacks that looked so good on the prints don’t translate well at all to the web.
Selected photos from my first Intro to Photo assignment. The pictures were all taken in color but converted to black & white. The only exception is the middle one which was too beautiful.
